Shirley's Obituary
Shirley Dean Warner, 69, passed away on April 24, 2023 at Corewell Lakeland, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at a later date. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Shirley was born November 8, 1953 to JR and Bertha Collins in Watervliet Michigan. She graduated from Covert High School in 1972. Shirley retired from Leco Corporation after 28 years of service. She married John Warner on December 30, 2008. Shirley was a master seamstress and loved to crochet. Shirley loved spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed music especially listening to Elvis Presley, REO Speedwagon, Bob Segar and watching her husband John play the trumpet in the Moonlighters Big Band.
She is survived by her husband; John Warner, daughter; Jennifer (Everett) Yancy, son; Jacob (Jessica) Nunley, step daughter; Angie (Shawn) Peeple, grandchildren; Chase Summerton & Emily Yancy, brothers; Paul Eugene (Lois) Mathis, Dennis Collins & Larry (Teresa) Collins, sister; Sheila (Eudell) Smart, Uncle; CL Collins, several close nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her father J.R. & Ovie Collins; brother; James Mathis, sister Sharon Franklin, best friend; Carol Douglas.
