Shirley's Obituary
Shirley Ann Haselberger, 76, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in Kalamazoo. She was born June 6, 1946 in Paw Paw, MI to Wayne and Phyllis (Lohroff) Watson.
The family will receive guests from 4pm until time of rosary service at 6:30pm, Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Newell Chapel, 83313 M-51, Decatur. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1pm, Monday, December 12, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 500 W. St. Mary’s St., Decatur. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Decatur. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan or the American Heart Association.
Shirley will best be remembered for the love she shared with her family. In her younger years, she enjoyed attending family events, especially the holidays. She also enjoyed shopping and crafting. Although family was everything to Shirley, she also had a special fondness for animals.
Shirley will be missed by her children, Martin (Diane) Haselberger, and Karen Haselberger; her grandchildren, Christine, Erica and Wayne Haselberger; and her siblings, Marcia (the late Mike) Tarantino, and Terry (Jenny) Watson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Haselberger, whom she married on May 6, 1967 in Decatur; her children, Lisa Haselberger, and Richard Franklin; her sister, Kay Klinkers; and her parents.
