Sheila Ann's Obituary
Sheila was born on June 29, 1950, to Jeanne Scholfield and Paul Moroney in Oak Park, Illinois.
A gifted crocheter, Sheila was known for her remarkable skill and generosity. Whether it was crafting intricate Afghans in just a few days or making beautiful washcloths and towel toppers, she could create anything with yarn. Her favorite creations, however, were the Christmas blankets she lovingly made for her grandchildren, which became a cherished family tradition.
Sheila was a proud, lifetime member of the Michigan Flywheelers, where she enjoyed spending time with friends, occasionally enjoying an ear of steamed corn, or simply people-watching. She also had a playful habit of scolding her family, especially the girls, whom she always thought were up to something.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage; grandson Cody Erb, her parents; and two siblings, James and Karen.
Sheila is survived by her children: Gimmie (Dave) Erb of Reed City, Frank Garlock of Reed City, Jeanne (Monty) Bodfish of South Haven, and Brenda (Danny) Woodall of South Haven. She was a cherished "Memaw" to her grandchildren: Alyssa (Ethan) Willhoite of Kalamazoo, DyIan Woodall of South Haven, Alexzandrea Woodall of South Haven, Kaleb Bodfish of South Haven, and Ahryn Bodfish of South Haven. Sheila also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Davi-Jane and Owen-Lee Willhoite of Kalamazoo.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
