Sharon's Obituary
Sharon Joann Nykamp, 66, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. She was born on September 7, 1956 to Vernon and Dorothy (Jackson) Peachey.
A memorial service for Sharon will take place on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, Michigan. Visitation with the family will take place from 10:00 – 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Sharon was a dedicated employee at 5/3rd bank in Coloma for over 15 years. She loved her customers and she greeted every one with a loving smile and a helpful hand. Wherever she went out, she would see people who knew her by her time at the bank. During her life she enjoyed taking care of her beloved chocolate labs and spending time with her family. Donations in Sharon’s name can be made out to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Peter R. Nykamp; sons, Scott (Mary) Nykamp, Brett Nykamp; grandchildren, Teddy and Henry Nykamp; mother, Dorothy Jackson; siblings, Duane (Cindy) Peachey, Carol Eliasson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Peachey; and sister, Linda Karn.
