Sandee's Obituary
Sandra S. “Sandee” Marks, 85, of Stevensville, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Hanson Hospice in Stevensville. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Sandee was born on October 15, 1939, in St. Joseph, to Louis & Agusta (Gruntman). She graduated from St. Joseph High School. On October 17, 1959, Sandee married, Frederick Marks, in St. Joseph. The two were married for 24 years before he passed away in 1983. For 15 years, Sandee worked as a bookkeeper for Tri-County Book Keeping in Benton Harbor and would then relocate to St. Joseph Mercy Memorial Hospital to work for their billing department. In her younger years, Sandee was a proud EMT volunteer for Sister Lakes Fire Department. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden of Perennials and African Violets, as well as, crocheting, knitting and sewing.
Sandee is survived by her son, Jon (Valerie) Marks of Dowagiac; and brother, Roger (Madeline) Huelsberg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Agusta; husband, Frederick; and daughters, Jonelle Marks and Michelle Gonic.
