Sandy was born November 25, 1942 in Anderson, IN to Roy & Mona (Trick) LaShure. She graduated from Anderson High School, Class of 1960, and earned a Bachelor Degree from Anderson College in Anderson, Indiana in 1964. On June 24, 1967 she married David Boyle in Anderson. Sandy taught at Anderson Jr. High School while David finished school at Anderson College. After moving to Michigan, she taught at Covert High School for several years before starting her family. Sandy was a member of Crystal Springs Church of God where she served as pianist, on the music committee and on the board of trustees. While she attended First Church of God in St. Joseph, she served as the pianist. She cherished the time spent with her Church family on Sundays and other special occasions. Sandy loved the Lord and growing her faith. She loved the Lake Michigan sunsets, taking them in as often as possible, and the time spent with her cats at home. She was an avid Chicago sports fan-Cubs & Bears, but Michael Jordan and the Bulls were her favorite, but she came to love Michigan State basketball & football while her son attended there. In her free time Sandy enjoyed helping Dave with his sports cards & memorabilia business-Kard Korner as well as operating her own candy store next door where she was known as the “Candy Lady” by many happy customers whom she served at the flea market at the Fairplain Plaza.
Sandy is survived by her two sons-Michael (Makiko) Boyle of Tokyo, Japan, Terry (Silvana Viegas) Boyle of Stevensville; her grandson and best buddy Leonardo Viegas-Boyle, whom she absolutely adored; her brother Steve and Carol (Nevin) LaShure; two nieces-Courtney (Eric) Green and Stephanie LaShure; six great-nephews and nieces-Mason, Olivia, Mariah, Owen, Gabe and Lilly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dave on April 19, 2020, and her son Christopher Boyle on January 19, 1978.
