Ruth's Obituary
Ruth Ann Hall, 78, of St. Petersburg, FL., formerly St. Joseph, MI., passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Provision Living of St. Joseph.
Ruth was born on January 23, 1944, to Richard and Muriel (Barker) Warren in Kemo Housing, Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1962. Ruth continued her education through both Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and Western Michigan University, receiving her BSN in Nursing from WMU. On September 11, 1965, she married Robert Lee Hall at the Congregational Church, St. Joseph, MI. Professionally, she served 40 years at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, holding the titles of Registered Nurse, Director of Benton Harbor Clinic and at one point Assistant Vice President. Ruth was an excellent caregiver, whether that be professionally or personally with family or neighborhood kids. In her early years, she was a member at First Congregational Church, St. Joseph, then Lakewood United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg where she assisted in administrative positions. Ruth enjoyed giving back to the community and participated in fundraisers in both St. Joseph and St. Petersburg.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Hall; sons, Michael (Beth) Hall and Dave Hall both of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Gabriel (Jess) Vanderbilt-Hall, Nathan Hall, Zachariah Hall and Cassidy Brown; sister, Beatrice (Eldon) Meschke and brother, Jim (Tina) Warren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Muriel Warren and granddaughters, Rachel Elizabeth Hall and Hanna Sarah Hall.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle Hospice, St. Joseph.
