Ronald Warren “Ron” Braford, 77, of Sodus, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 7, at 12 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI, with Scott Brown officiating. Friends may visit with the family starting at 11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus. Ron was born on April 2, 1946, in Lansing, MI, to James & Ruby (Worth) Braford. On August 7, 1964, Ron married the love of his life, Alberta Plourde.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of nearly 59 years, Alberta; daughters, Judy (John) Bishop of OK, Jennifer (Tom) Woodley of MI, and Janet (Raymond) Tolksdorf of NC; grandchildren, Matt (Susie Q) Bishop, Amanda Bishop, Justin (Emilee) Woodley, Andrew (Shae) Tolksdorf, Jessica Woodley, Zachary Tolksdorf; seven great-grandchildren, Audra, Oliver, Owen, & Autumn Bishop, Leona, Norah, & Declan Torres; sister, Diane (Cindy) Burke; and nieces, Clea & Margaret. He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Ruby.
