Rolfe B. Jenkins, 77, of St. Joseph, passed away, Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan.

He was born Rolfe Brian Jenkins on March 30, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska to Rolfe & Viola (Pecene) Jenkins. He attended Battle Creek St. Philip High School graduating in 1963. He accepted an appointment to USMA at West Point and was honorably discharged from the US Army. Rolfe received his Master’s & Doctorate Degrees from Michigan State University. He spent his working career in the nuclear power field, starting with Westinghouse in West Mifflin, PA, before moving to Jackson, Michigan to join Consumer Power, and retiring from Palisades Nuclear Plant in Covert, Michigan. Rolfe also was employed at H & R Block as a tax preparer from 1999 until 2013.
Rolfe enjoyed attending and supporting live theatre, including college level, the Barn Theatre, venues in Chicago, anywhere job travel took him, and especially the Twin City Players and the Mendel Center. For many years, Rolfe had season tickets for Purdue football and supported Notre Dame sports. For the last years while residing in St. Joseph, he attended the Catholic Churches in Benton Harbor & St. Joseph.
Rolfe is survived by his siblings-Marcia Marston of Granger, IN, Suzanne (Erich) Schulz of Farmington, CT, Michael (Donna) Jenkins of Delton, MI, Dennis (Mary Ann) Jenkins of Holt, MI; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins, friends, neighbors and former co-workers.
The family would like to thanks all of the friends, neighbors, medical personnel, hospice staff and untold others, and especially his brother Dennis for their encouragement and support as Rolfe’s health declined.
