Bobbie's Obituary
Bobbie was born on August 3, 1938, in Benton Harbor, to Robert & Lucille (Jackson) Schramm. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1956. She continued her education by attending Benton Harbor Community College and Central Michigan University pursuing a degree in education. On August 17, 1957, Bobbie married the love of her life, Wesley Eichler, at First Congregational Church in St. Joseph. She had a long history working for Inter-City Bank as a traveling teller, and a vault manager across Southwest Michigan. Bobbie also worked for Greenstone Farm Credit Services as a secretary retiring after 14 years of service.
Bobbie was active in her community. She was a former chair for the Miss Sodus Blossomtime Pageant and she helped organize numerous high school reunions for her graduating class. She enjoyed knitting, reading, word searches and trying her luck at slot machines. She also was very proud of her garden, and enjoyed working with hydrangeas, hosta’s, and geraniums. Bobbie & Wes were member of the Blossomland Chapter of the Travel Trailer Club of Michigan, where they would travel throughout Michigan in their trailer camping and visiting all the beautiful outdoor scenes that Michigan has to offer. However, what meant the most to Bobbie was spending time with her family sharing birthdays and holiday traditions especially making sugar cookies as a family. Bobbie was an incredible, wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend; she will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bobbie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Wesley Eichler; her children, Deborah Vliet, Rebecca (Eric) Toth, and Wesley F. (Sherri) Eichler all of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Kristen (Chris) Crumley, Aimee (Michael) Mazurek, Sarah Pollard, Katherine (Chris) Fry, Ashlee Eichler, Kelli (Zach) Kerns and Timothy (Kaitlyn) Eichler; great-grandchildren, Emmitt Kerns, Wesley T., Wyatt, & Emma Eichler, Nora & Sullivan Mazurek and Carter Crumley; brothers, Richard (Char) Schramm of Oshtemo and Ronald (Candy) Schramm of San Diego; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant twins, Denise and Diane.
