Bob's Obituary

Robert M. “Bob” Totzke, 78, formerly of Dowagiac, MI passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 3PM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 1PM until time of service at the funeral home. Bob was born on April 21, 1943, to Harvey & Mary “Peggy” (Jones) Totzke in Benton Harbor. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, class of 1961. Bob continued his education at Central Michigan University where he earned an associate degree in engineering, later in life he earned a Bachelor’s in engineering from Lake Michigan College. Bob worked as an electrical engineer for I&M and then for AEP electric. He was a life-long member of the Michigan Bowhunters.

Bob enjoyed being outdoors, especially if he was playing golf, hunting or fishing. He was never a man who would ask for help but was always willing and ready to lend a helping hand.

Bob is survived by his children, Todd (Lori) Totzke of Kalamazoo, Robin (Dr. Bryan) Warner of Chesterfield, MO and Heidi (John) Emmons of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Steven, Kimberly, Megan, Mallory, Cailee, Ally, Aidan and Therin; and nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Duane Totzke.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey & Peggy Totzke and brother Don Totzke.
