Robert "Bob"'s Obituary

Robert “Bob” Holloway Coffey, left this world on June 2, 2023 at the age of 69. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. We invite you to honor his life at The Starks and Menchinger Chapel (2650 Niles Rd.) at 1:00 pm on June 16, 2023.

Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary; his beloved daughters, Sabrina Coffey and her fiancé Melecio Lopez, Meredith Sharwarko and her husband Thomas Sharwarko, his much-loved granddaughter Norah, and his grand-pups Gidget, Shooter, Leo, and Cocoa.

Bob enjoyed time with his sister-in laws, brothers-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, John, and Jean (Clader) Coffey.

Before his retirement, Bob was the owner and operator of a water treatment business where he earned numerous customer service awards from General Electric.

Bob was a practiced sailor and shared his love of the open sea with his family (with the exception of attending the Army-Navy game as an avid Navy fan-which was on land).
Bob also cared deeply about politics and the constitution. One of his proudest moments was getting blocked on Twitter by the “official” Donald Trump account.

Most of all, Bob was a family man and people person. He truly cared for others and had a knack for remembering small details about people. He shared excitement about achievements and encouraged dreams.

As an avid recycler, Bob’s wish would be for you to continue to recycle and protect the environment by planting a tree in his memory.
