Richard's Obituary
Mr. Richard L. Findley, age 73, passed away at home on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in St. Joseph. He was born March 27, 1950 to Arnold and Vera (Svenson) Findley in Stamford, CT.
Richard worked at Firing Circuits in Norwalk, CT as an electronics technician for many years. He met the love of his life, Barbara Sarver, in New Hampshire. The two were married on February 14, 1996 and were each other’s Valentine’s for 28 wonderful years.
Richard enjoyed working with his hands and was a skilled tailor and woodworker. He made many different articles of clothing for family and friends as well as wedding dresses for brides. Richard crafted tables, clocks and other furniture in his woodshop when he was able. He also was an avid cyclist in his earlier days, riding over 100 miles each week.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; brothers, Lawrence A. (Karen Clister) Findley and Robert S. (Barbara) Findley; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Kevin, Shannon, and Brett; father-in-law, Robert B. Sarver; and siblings-in-law, Susan K. Sarver, Robert D. (Tammy) Sarver, and David E. (Carmen) Sarver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Vera.
