Richard's Obituary
Richard Harold Stieve of South Haven, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at home. Richard was born January 19, 1927 in South Haven to the late Max and Louise (Harsh) Stieve.
After graduating from South Haven High School in 1945, he joined the Army Air Corp. On October 20, 1954 he married his wife, Olga Krueger who survives. They enjoyed 69 years of marriage and along the way they brought 4 children into this world, Brenda (Steve) Lockman of Petaluma, CA; Rita (Robert) Behrman of South Haven, MI; David (Theresa) Stieve of Lansing, MI; Donald (Laura) Stieve of Crown Pointe, IN. Richard has 12 grandchildren, John, Heather, Jake, Michael, Cory, Chelsie, Lucas, Alec, Brandon, Amanda, Trisha, Kenny and numerous great-grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his 4 brothers, Ed, Walt, Elmer, and Robert Stieve and 2 sisters, Dorothy Wiebrecht and Luella Gallert.
Mr. Stieve owned with his brothers 3 locations of Stieves Service Center and Car Wash. He, also, was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of South Haven.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 11:30 A.M. A visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Military Funeral Honors will follow the service. Burial will take place at North Shore Memorial Gardens at a later date. Pastor Stephen Daley of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church will be officiating.
