Rhianon's Obituary

Rhianon Elaine Wesaw, 40, of Coloma, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be happening on Thursday, April 20, at 12 PM at the Pokagon Band Community Center, 27043 Potawatomi Trail, Dowagiac, MI with burial to follow at Rush Lake Cemetery in Hartford. Friends may visit with the family from 10 AM until the time of the service at the community center. Rhianon was born on August 23, 1982, to David James Sample & Deloris Jane Wesaw, in St. Joseph. She graduated in 2000 from Sault Saint Marie High School. She continued her education by attending cosmetology school. Rhianon was a proud member of the Pokagon Band of the Potawatomi Indians. She enjoyed spending time babysitting her nieces, nephews and cousins, cooking food for her friends and family; especially her famous enchiladas, and helping maintain households of relatives by assisting with cleaning and minor maintenance problems.

Rhianon is survived by her mother, Deloris Wesaw; sisters, Jessica Sample, Melony (Brandon Gage) Williams and Angel (Matt) Foster; Thomas Wesaw, Jr., Charles (Stacey Weaver) Wesaw, Sharon (Forrest) Pratt, Janet (John) Thomas, and Mary (Steve) Winchester; dear friends Judy Winchester & Tim Lewis; and a host a nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by aunts, Bev & Marilyn Wesaw; and grandparents, Thomas, Sr. & Marian Wesaw.
