Priscilla's Obituary
Priscilla A. Alden, 78, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Her son, Brad Hecht, was at her side. The cause of death was metastatic lung cancer.
Priscilla was born September 26, 1944, to Richard and Doris (Feather) Alden in Benton Harbor. At the time of Priscilla’s birth Richard was in active service during World War II, and met his daughter two years later. Priscilla is pre-deceased by her sister, Elizabeth Groat of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Priscilla graduated from Berrien Springs High School. She then studied Business at Michigan State, later moving to Battle Creek, MI where she raised her two children while working for Win Schuler’s in Marshall, MI. She lived for nearly two decades in New York, NY working in the financial services industry and enjoying all the city had to offer. Priscilla loved animals, all things pop culture and traveling. She retired back to her hometown of Berrien Springs, MI.
Priscilla is survived by her children, Brad (Eva) Hecht of Berrien Springs, MI and Christie (Richard) of Manhasset, NY; grandmother of Brandon and Matthew Hecht of Berrien Springs, MI and Sophia and Lucine Tashjian of Manhasset; great-grandmother to Monroe, Penelope and Dodge Hecht of Berrien Springs.
