Paul Lee Hill, Sr., 42, of St. Joseph, passed away, Monday, February 7, 2022 at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
Burial with military honors will take place 1:30 P.M. Friday, February 25, 2022 at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Friends may visit with the family beginning 10:30 A.M. Friday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial donations in Paul’s name may be made to the family. Paul was born December 9, 1979 in St. Joseph to Paul & Maxine (Hill) Washington. He attended St. Joseph High School, Class of 1997. After high school, Paul served his country in the US Army, during the War on Terror in Afghanistan & Iraq. Paul was employed in construction for the majority of his career. When not working, he enjoyed studying music, history and the arts.
Paul is survived by his wife, Essence Hill, his children Paul Hill, Jr. & Jun’yah Berry; his mother Maxine Washington; siblings-Bernard Hill, Betty Washington & Donshay Lewis; his former wife Twinette Jones; his adoptive father John Adams; two special cousins-Monroe Hill & Robert Hill; and numerous nieces & nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his father Paul Washington.
