Patsy's Obituary
Patsy J. Dunkleberger, 85, of Marcellus, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Spectrum Health Lakeland Niles Hospital. She was born on November 1, 1937 in Teegarden, IN, the daughter of Ora and Bernice (Broadstreet) Richter. On April 29, 1965, she was united in marriage to Donald Dunkleberger, who preceded her in death on February 28, 2006. Also preceding her in death were her parents; grandson, James Dunkleberger on Sept. 9, 2022; and five siblings, Evelyn Sisco, Goldie Barber, Delores Combes, Dottie Baker and Phyllis Richter.
Surviving are six children, Donna (Timothy) Gosztola, Cary Richter, Ralph (Lisa) Dunkleberger, Mary (William) Parker, Bill Dunkleberger and Elayne Carney; six grandchildren, Christine, Mindy, Brian, Ashley, Leeann and Shelby; five great-grandchildren, Emery, Dante, Jin, Ethan and Skyler; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Sandy.
Patsy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who know her.
Friends may visit with Patsy’s family from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, January 20, at Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center Street, Dowagiac. Interment will follow in Bly Cemetery, 11500 M-216, Marcellus. Memorial contributions in Patsy’s name may be directed to Cass County Council on Aging.
