Kelly's Obituary
Patrick “Kelly” Kircher, 67, of Dowagiac, formerly of Peoria, IL, passed away on Monday morning, June 26, 2023 at his home following a short battle with cancer.
He was born on March 3, 1956 in Peoria, IL, the son of the late William Charles and Mary Ann (Ostrander) Kircher. Kelly attended Holy family grade school: He graduated from Bergan High School in 1974. Kelly played football as well as wrestled all throughout High School, his mother attended all of his games, making her presence known with a loud cow-bell that signaled to her boys and teammates that she was among the crowd.
Kelly had always been in the restaurant business, one memorable moment early in his career is after an argument with his boss at Butler’s chicken in Peoria, Kelly closed early loaded 40 lbs of chicken into a garbage bag then heading straight to a party and fed everyone, it was a big hit!
Kelly went on to work at Jim’s Steakhouse, Peoria IL, Miller's Cliftwood, Morton, IL eventually relocating to Chicago. It is here where he ultimately found his home with RDG (Restaurant Development Group) and previous ventures with Teddy, from The Saloon, Blue Point, Bar Louie and Park Tavern; Kelly surely had an impact on all those who were lucky enough to know him as well as work with him.
Surviving are his wife, Isabella Hart; three children, Ava Hart, Julian Hart and Jenna Blotteaux; four brothers, Tim (Karen) Kircher, Bill Kircher, Tom (Kathy) Kircher, Mickey (Angee) Kircher; sister, Molly (Alan) Wise; and several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
