Patricia Ann “Pat” Thorn, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022 at home, surrounded by family.
A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E Glenlord Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085. Those wishing to share a memory may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Pat was born June 19, 1947, in Bridgman, to Edward and Edith (Robinson) Ott. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1964. Pat worked at the Cook Nuclear Plant as American Nuclear Resources for over eight years. Pat married Thomas Thorn on June 18, 1994 in Stevensville. She later shifted careers to work in the office at Grace Lutheran Church for many years. Pat loved traveling to Las Vegas with her son, Shawn, and trying her luck gambling, specifically with the slot machines. She also found joy in making stamps, attending stamp making conventions with other fellow stamp makers and collecting Flintstone and Pillsbury Dough Boy memorabilia.
Pat is survived by her husband Thomas Thorn; son, Shawn Shuburte; and grandchildren, Sierra and Addison Shuburte. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Edith; and siblings, Edward Ott, Marvin Ott, Eloris Lausch, and Marlene Ott.
