Patricia Lavon “Pat” Hauch, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd, St. Joseph, MI 49085. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Main St., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Pat was born October 3, 1935 in Dunkirk, Indiana to Harold & Marie (Auker) James. She graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1953 After graduation she moved to Berrien Springs and worked for her aunt’s dress shop which was next door to the grocery store that Robert worked, they met and married on April 6, 1956 in Columbus, Georgia. Early in her career she worked for Bangor schools as librarian, a substitute teacher in Tennessee and also at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Stevensville. She continued her career assisting with the family-owned business PRD a Die Cast company in Benton Harbor. When not working she loved to decorate her home and enjoyed ceramics. She volunteered with the ladies’ aid and was a member of the choir at Trinity Lutheran for many years.
She is survived by her husband Robert Hauch Sr.; her son, Bob Hauch Jr. of Benton Harbor; brothers, Dwayne (Barb) James and Donald (Deb) James; granddaughter, Ashley Hauch; 3 great grand-children;sister in -law Liz James, along with many nieces & nephews. She was preceded by her son Terry Hauch and brother Eddy James.
