Ollie Lue Robinson, 89, of Benton Harbor, passed away, Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Pine Ridge Nursing Center in Stevensville.

A Celebration of Life Homegoing Service will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, November 3, 2023 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Assistant Pastor Darris Carouthers of Greater Faith Apostolic Church officiating. Friends may visit with the Family beginning at 11:00 A.M. Friday preceding the service. Private burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Memorial donations in Ollie’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan-Great Lakes Chapter. Ollie was born September 7, 1934 in Earl, Arkansas to William & Ollie (McCloud) Hooks. After moving to Benton Harbor, she graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1952. Ollie attended Mott College in Flint to earn her Certified Nursing Assistant credentials. She was employed for many years as a CNA at Berrien General Hospital in Berrien Center and at Claremont Nursing Home in Benton Harbor. She ended her working career as a bus monitor for Coloma Schools. Ollie enjoyed cooking, jigsaw & crossword puzzles, going to the casino, rooting for the Chicago Cubs and exploring modern technology. Ollie cherished with all her heart, the time spent with her family, especially her grand & great-grandchildren.

Ollie is survived by her children-twins Robbie & Ronnie Patton, Roxanne Brock, Alvin Patton, Richard (Christine) Patton, Jacqueline (Tom) Woltman, Roger Hooks, Theresa Caldwell, Freddie Jean (Donavon) Carouthers; a host of grandchildren, & great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Mac Charles Patton, her second husband Freddie Lee Robinson, two children-Calvin Patton & Anita Patton; and four siblings-Omega “Charlie Mae” Jackson, James Hill, William Hooks & Willie Hooks.
