Minnie's Obituary
Minnie L. Brummett, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Spectrum Health Lakeland, St. Joseph.
Minnie was born on April 20, 1947, to Robert and Mary (Johnson) Brummett in Hayti, MO. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1965. Professionally, Minnie served as a Legal Secretary at various law firms in the area for 25 years. She also assisted numerous people as a transcriptionist throughout her career. As Minnie's final venture she opened a 24-hour answering service with her daughter, OnLine Communications, that she operated for 11 years before semi-retirement.
Minnie is survived by her son, Tim Ellis of Makoti, ND; daughter, Sheila (Jon) Cole of St. Joseph, MI; grandchildren, Heather Forrest, Kelsey Ellis, Emily Cole, Alex Cole and Sarah Cole; great-grandchildren, Jesse Forrest, Hailey Forrest; siblings, Wilma Burkholder, Maggie (John) Chaddock, Carol Brummett, Bobby Brummett, Bonnie (Brummett) Smith and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Brummett and brothers, Rob and Paul Brummett.
