Millicent's Obituary
Millicent Joy Covey, 82, of South Haven, Michigan passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Millicent was born July 26, 1939 in South Haven, Michigan to Walter Lahndorf and Dorothy Violet (Gaylord) Vasquez.
Millicent graduated from South Haven High School, and joined in holy matrimony with Kenneth Eugene Covey on December 13, 1958. They shared a union together for over 50 years.
Millicent is survived by children Ricky and Tim Covey, sister Sharon Duis, Grandchildren Jill (Brian) Fricke of Florida, Erin (Mike) Donavan of Florida, Michael (Jamie) of California, Timmy II (Courtney) of Wisconsin, along with Jennifer, Christopher and Matt Covey and Kelsey of South Haven. Millicent is also survived by 10 Great-Grandchildren.
Millicent is preceded by her parents Walter Lahndorf and Dorothy Violet (Gaylord) Vazquez and step father Hipolito “Pancho” Vazquez, husband Kenneth Eugene Covey, daughter Theresa White and sister Valerie Foster.
Millicent worked for over 40 years at N & R Department Store as a sales clerk. Millicent had many hobbies including flowers and gardening. She loved sending cards and had a special heart for her fur baby, Lenard. Millicent was her happiest when family was around her. She never had a bad word to say about anyone.
Visitation for Millicent will be Monday, May 23, 2022 at Filbrandt Chapel 1076 S. Bailey Ave, South Haven, Michigan, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 P.M.
