Mildred's Obituary
Mildred better known as Mildred Battle 94 of Benton Harbor, MI. Ascended to greatness Sunday, July 16th 2023 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville Michigan.
Mildred was born in Edwards Mississippi on May 30th 1929, to mother Pinky Mosely (deceased) and father Uriah Chambers (deceased). She later migrated north where she planted her feet in Benton Harbor working as a laborer in the factory industry until she later retired. During retirement she enjoyed: Fishing, Playing Cards (alone or as she would say “with the dead”) and also helping all she came across. Gardening was something that brought her heart joy. She could plant anything and create life. Mildred was known around her community for going out of her way to help out whether it was feeding those that couldn’t feed themselves or taking care of your local stray cat. She had a huge heart to help. Though Mildred did not belong to a church her heart belongs to God, and she believed highly in giving the lord praise.
Mildred is proceeded in death by her only child Ada Prewitt and Sister Dessa Mae Chambers-Jackson.
Mildred is survived by: Brother - Rev. Fred T Chambers Sr and his children - (Son) Fred T Chambers Jr (spouse) Vanessa Chambers (deceased) and four children, (son) Michael W.
