Michael's Obituary
Michael A. Grzesick, 71, of St. Joseph, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022, surrounded by loving family and friends at Hanson Hospice Center.
A time of gathering will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 4PM until 7PM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph. A private inurnment will be held at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hanson Hospice Center, 4382 Cleveland Ave., St. Joseph. Michael was born on January 15, 1951, to Marion R. & Katherine M. (Soldano) Grzesick in Benton Harbor. He graduated from Lakeshore High School. Michael worked as a pipefitter and then as a union plumber for over 30 years. On September 8, 2001, Michael married Diane Lewis at First Church of God in St. Joseph.
Michael was a proud member of the Moose International. He enjoyed being outdoors submerging himself in wildlife and nature. He especially enjoyed his time hunting, fishing and feeding the birds on his nine bird feeders. Michael was known as a colorful, opinionated person, often making people laugh. He had a passion for fixing anything, while always lending a helping hand to others. In his spare time he would plan motorcycle rides to Sturgis, ND and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He loved animals, especially his dogs Shelby and the love of his life, his Brittany Spaniel, Evie.
Michael is survived by his wife, Diane Grzesick; daughter Natasha Grzesick Moseng of Sumter, SC; step-sons, Brian Sorce of Sodus and Todd Sorce of Las Vegas, NV; and sister Mary (Rick) Diamond.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Katherine Grzesick and brother Vincent Grzesick.
