Mindy's Obituary
Melinda “Mindy” Radseck passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 after a brief struggle with heart and lung issues.
Mindy was born in South Haven, Michigan to Albert and Willie LaVerne Radseck on March 10, 1958. She leaves behind her spouse of 36 years, Sharon Pedersen, her brother, Paul Radseck, and her niece, Tara Radseck, two cat-children, along with many aunts, cousins, and chosen family members.
Mindy will be missed for her hugs and her creative spirit. She graduated from South Haven High School and later took the brave step of studying computer administration and then a Bachelor and Master of Social Work. She worked many years for Burden Funeral Home and was friend and wise, informal counselor to many. She liked coloring, painting and crafting. One of her greatest attributes was “she told it like it is.” Mindy joined the Universalist Unitarian Church of East Liberty in Clarklake, Michigan with Sharon and they were married there in 2015.
A funeral for Mindy will be on Friday, Dec. 31 at Filbrandt Chapel Starks Family Funeral Homes in South Haven, with Reverend Gy Ludvig-McCartney officiating. Visitation will begin at 2pm and service at 4pm. A memorial service will be held in Jackson area at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Universalist Unitarian Church of East Liberty, the Historical Association of South Haven, or your local humane society or arts council.
