Mathew's Obituary
We are sad to announce the passing of Matthew John Chambers, at the early age of 57. Matt passed peacefully on the morning of January 7, 2023, at Medilodge of Westwood in Kalamazoo, with family by his side.
Matt was born on March 19th, 1965, in Valparaiso, Indiana, and is preceded in death by his parents, Larry Richard and Paula Jean Chambers.
Matt grew up in South Haven and was a graduate of LC Mohr High School. He worked in maintenance at the Van Buren County Sheltered Workshop in Bangor, and for Village Market in South Haven, where he loved talking with customers while bagging their groceries. Matt was a friendly, outgoing guy. He loved being with people, attending church and staying active.
He is survived by his two sisters, Tina Dell, and Gina Hindman; his nieces, Rosey Craig Simanton and Kirsten Hindman; and nephew, Austin Hindman.
Arrangements are being handled by Filbrandt Chapel - Starks Family Funeral Home. A private service will be held at a later date.
