Sue's Obituary
Mary “Sue” Dixon, 94, of Saint Joseph passed away peacefully on Thursday July 6, 2023 at her home. She is now joyfully reunited with her two sons.
Mary was born on October 4, 1928 in Iowa before moving to Elmhurst, Illinois where she spent most of her life. She moved to Saint Joseph in 2005 to be closer to her family.
She is survived by her loving grand-daughter, Melinda (Bryce) Schadler, and her three great-grandchildren Blane, Aleena, and Makayla. And a host of nieces and nephews.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents, and both of her sons.
She had a very long, and full life. She loved going to Disney World for which she made an annual pilgrimage. She loved being by and on the water, including having a swimming pool, even though she was not a very strong swimmer.
To say that Mary was a cat lover would be a huge underestimate. She also loved to decorate the yard and her house extensively for every single holiday. Her fun loving personality will be deeply missed.
A private celebration of life will be held at a future date for the immediate family. The family was assisted by Heritage Chapel & Cremation Services, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, MI. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com
