Mary's Obituary

Mary Louise (Piersing) Weatherman passed away at The Willows in St. Joseph on Thursday, February 23, 2023. Mary was born to Charles and Freida Piersing on July 30th, 1929 in St. Joseph. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1947 and shortly after married the love of her life Jack Weatherman on July 5th, 1947. Mary retired from Chardon Rubber Company in 1992, continued working part-time into the late 1990’s and volunteered in the gift shop at Lakeland Hospital for many years. She was a member of Niles Avenue Baptist Church in St. Joseph.

Mary is survived by her children Jerry Weatherman, Renee Chism, and Dennis Weatherman (Nancy), her sisters Lois Ott (Dennis), Ruth Kinsey, and brother Robert Piersing (Donna), grand children Michael, Erica, Catharine, Alicia, Adam, Dana, Derrick, Jacquelyn, David, Joseph, Jason, and Jodi along with many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mary was proceeded in death by her husband Jack, daughter Jacquelyn, daughter-in-law Mariellen, father Charles, mother Freida, sister Helen, and brothers Charles Jr., John, and Howard.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, at 12:00pm , with funeral services proceeding at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
