Mary's Obituary

Mary J. Kuester, 94, of Stevensville, MI formally of Chicago, IL passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022. She was born March 19, 1928, a beloved daughter of the late Henry and Caroline Dreger. On June 16, 1951 she married Kenneth R. Kuester who passed away May 23, 2022.

Surviving her are daughters Susan (Phil) Wendowski, Barb (Carl) Bals, Joan Kuester, and Karen Kuester, grandchildren John (Sara), Bryan (Christa), Melissa (Scott), Kevin (Anna), Jennifer (Michael), and Christian, and great-grandchildren Emily, Olivia, Aiden and Adriel. Also surviving are a brother Paul, sister Margaret and sister-in-law Irene as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, siblings Hank (Marion), Frank (Phyllis), Florence (Vern), Joe, Sister Irma, George (Marge), Charles, Ed (Mary Jane), Pete (Inez), Bob (Jean) and Fred; sister-in-law Ginger and brother-in-law Ray.

Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., on Sunday, October 30, 2022, and on Monday, October 31 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. A Rosary will be recited at 4:45 P.M. Sunday, October 30th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 P.M., Monday, October 31, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., St. Joseph.
