Mary Jane Fredricks, 78, of Dowagiac, passed away, Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 11:00AM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac with Pastor Stacey Wilder officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Mary Jane’s name, may be made to, Cass County Animal Shelter or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Mary Jane was born May 26, 1944, in Gillespie, IL, to Frank Dragomir, Sr. and Elizabeth (McDermott) DeHaven. She graduated from Berrien Springs High school. On May 29, 1960, she married the love of her life, Larry Fredricks, and together they raised 4 children. Mary Jane loved bowling and playing cards with her friends. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching TV game shows. Most of all she loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mary Jane is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Larry Ronald Fredricks, Sr.; children, Tami (Frank) Calise, Tim Fredricks, Cecilia (Kevin) Garrelts and Larry “Ron” Fredricks, Jr.; grandchildren, Anthony (Laura) Calise, Korey (Katelyn) Calise, Justin (Danielle) Fredricks, Austin Garrelts and Zachary (Nicole Keech) Garrelts; great-grandchildren, Connor, Greyson, Bennett, Denver, Everlee, Monica and Keli; siblings, Tom (Charlene) Dragomir, Michelle “Mickey” (Ron) Gallert and Sharon Kuhns; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Dragomir, Sr. and Elizabeth DeHaven; and siblings, Frank Dragomir, Jr., Patsy Dragomir and Christy Reynolds.
