Mary C. “Mickey” Grish

Mary C. “Mickey” Grish, 84, passed away on October 14, 2021, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 1:00PM at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. Arthur Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 12:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan. Mickey was born December 23,1936, in Chicago, IL to Walter and Marie Grish. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School and later earned an associates degree from Lake Michigan College in Business Administration. Mickey worked for and retired from Fifth Third Insurance, formally Starke’s Insurance for 46 years. She had a loving heart for all animals, especially Rosie and Jasmine. Mickey was a generous, loving, and kind friend to all who knew her.

Mickey is survived by her nephews, Fred Grish, Timothy Grish and Jimmy Grish; niece, Theresa Grish; and special friends, Dennis and Lyla Metz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marie Grish; brothers, Walter Grish, Jr. and Raymond Grish, Sr. nephews, Raymond Grish, Jr., Kenneth Grish, Robert Grish, and Joseph Grish.
