Mark's Obituary
Mark Gregory Wilson, 67, of Coloma went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 4th, 2023.
Mark was born on October 25th, 1956 to Noah Ezell Wilson and Alice Marie Boyer (Ryan-Wilson) at Mercy Hospital in Benton Harbor, MI. Mark was the baby of the family and was loved immensely by his oldest brother Dan Wilson, ‘one and only’ sister Marcia Varney (Wilson), and older brother Randy Wilson.
He remained very close with his Mother Alice Boyer and Stepfather Don Boyer throughout his life. Their favorite part of every morning was Mark peeking his head around the corner of the kitchen with a big smile to ask if they were ready to have their coffee. Mark had a heart of gold and a passion for family, friends and all the dogs of the world.
Mark was part of the Dave’s Tree Service family for over 20 years. He was passionate about his work and a master of his craft. He knew every tree, how to care for it, and hoped to one day visit the Redwood Forest.
Although he loved his job, his sons Darren Wilson, Dustin Wilson, and Devin Wilson were his greatest loves and biggest accomplishments. Mark lit up every time he had the chance to talk about his boys and never missed the opportunity to call or spend time with them.
Mark treasured his daily calls with Darren, spending quality time in the garage with Devin, and just last month had the opportunity to adventure with Dustin to South Carolina.
Although his death was unexpected, Mark’s family and friends take great comfort in knowing he passed doing something he loved.
Mark is survived by his sons: Darren Wilson, Dustin Wilson, and Devin Wilson; his mother and stepfather: Alice Boyer and Don Boyer; siblings: Dan Wilson, Marcia Varney, Randy Wilson, Sherri Mann, Chris Blankenship, and Brian Boyer; nieces: Angie Phillips, Laura Reyna, Carrie Wilson, Sarah Fleming and Kenda Lankford; nephews: Stacy O’Neil, Randy Wilson Jr; and many beloved great nieces and nephews.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Noah Wilson.
