Marilyn was born on August 25, 1931, in Grand Rapids, to Joseph & Mabel (Troupe) Denman. She graduated from Catholic Central High School and would continue her education by attending Davenport University. On September 19, 1953, Marilyn married the love of her life, Donald Maly, in Grand Rapids. The two would spend 40 years together before his passing in 1993. Marilyn was a proud and avid member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she assisted with serving as a Communion Minister. She also loved traveling with Donald, especially throughout Europe. She had a passion for adventure; whether it be rollerblading with her daughters & granddaughters, parasailing, hiking or even the time she fought a bull in Spain, she loved the thrill of it all. However, what she loved the most was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and as of recent, a great-great-grandchild.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Nancy (Terry) Partacz of Brooklyn, MI, Daniel Maly of Zeeland, David (Kellie) Maly of St. Joseph, Julie (Otis) McKie of Covert, Carrie (Jim) Strzyzykowski of Berrien Springs, Matthew Maly of St. Joseph, and Lisa (Steve) Whitfield of Stevensville; many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, JoEllen (Lou) Pennella. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Mabel; husband, Donald; son, Patrick Maly; and sister, Elaine Lange and Charlene Martinez.
