Marietta's Obituary
Marietta J. DeMorrow, aged 79, of Benton Harbor, peacefully passed away at her residence on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
Marietta came into this world on April 12, 1944, as the beloved child of Rudy and Martha (Rudnick) Haak, born in Benton Harbor. She received her education at St. John's Catholic School. In May of 1982, Marietta exchanged vows with the love of her life, Thomas DeMorrow.
In her leisure moments, Marietta found joy in crafting ceramics, arranging flowers, and exploring garage sales. However, her most treasured moments were those spent in the company of her family.
Marietta is survived by her daughters, Sandy (Lee Capitan) Igert and Kathy Briney; stepson, Karl DeMorrow; her siblings, Judy Daniel, Donna Hinkelman, and Rudy Haak; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Martha Haak; husband Thomas DeMorrow; her sons, Alan Harper and Kenneth Harper; and her brother, Victor Haak.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Marietta's family, care of Sandra Igert.
