Maria's Obituary
Maria Lippert, 95, of Stevensville passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 16, 2022. She was born in Krnjaja, Yugoslavia on February 23, 1927 to the late Martin and Annemarie Witsch.
Maria was united in marriage to Wendell Lippert on April 24, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois. They spent 34 years together until Wendell’s passing in 1990. In 1969, Wendell and Maria, along with their three children, moved to Spinks Corners, Michigan where they lived until 1985 when they moved to Stevensville.
In addition to the family farm, Maria also worked at LECO Corporation for 17 years, retiring in 1990.
Maria is survived by her children, Annemarie Gall of Sauldorf, Germany, Lawrence (Margaret) Lippert of Worth, Illinois and Mary (Ronald) Klemm of Saint Joseph, Michigan. Grandchildren, Patricia de Caluwe, Dawn Reichert, Alexa Klemm and Jacob Klemm Rose and great-grandchildren Kayla Reichert, Samantha Reichert and Everett Rose.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Joe, and her sister, Annemarie Wandra.

A prayer service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 1pm at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Deacon Ed Nickel officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
