Madonna's Obituary
Madonna M. Starrett, 54, of St. Joseph, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Spectrum Health-Lakeland.
Madonna was born on July 10, 1967, to Donald & Linda (Livingston) Rimes in Kalamazoo. She graduated from Lakeshore High School and went on to have a very fulfilling career working as a home healthcare scheduler for different agencies in southwest Michigan. On February 14, 2005, Madonna married Timothy Starrett in Niles. In Madonna’s spare time she enjoyed tending to her garden, reading a good mystery novel, trying new foods, seeing live theatre, having tea parties with her grandchildren, and especially enjoyed catching up with her many friends and loved ones. A true Cancer, she lived and died on her own terms.
Madonna is survived by her husband of 16 years, Timothy Starrett; father Donald (Mary) Rimes of St. Joseph; children, Jessica Mott of Buchanan, Christopher Wagner of Michigan City, Amanda Starrett of Detroit, and Samantha Starrett of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Harmony, Echo, Atticus, Penelope, and Lucas; siblings, David Rimes of St. Joseph, Jennifer (Ken) Barnham of St. Joseph, and Mark (Kirsten) Rimes of Kalamazoo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Madonna was preceded in death by her mother Linda Rimes.
