Madalyn was born April 30, 1929, in Earle, AR, to John & Maude (Simms) Duncan. On
October 6, 1945, Madalyn married the love of her life, Virgil Pritchett, in Caruthersville,
MO. They were happily married for nearly 53 years before his passing in 1998. During
her younger adult years, she worked for various companies including VM Corp., PotLatch Corp, Wholers IGA, and the Department of Child & Family Services. However, the job she took the most pride in was being a mother and homemaker to her family. She also enjoyed visiting with friends, cooking, tending to her plants, and spending time in her flower garden.
Madalyn is survived by her daughters, Carol Pritchett of Benton Harbor and Char (Tom)
Porter of Baroda; grandsons, Christian (Jeanne) Porter and Jason (Stacy-Loar) Porter;
great-grandchildren, Harlin, Tobe, Peyton Marie, and Cole Porter; her half-brother, John
Duncan. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Maude; husband, Virgil; and
siblings, Betty Spicer, Thelma Smith, John M. Duncan, and Brother-In-Law Richard Smith.
