Lucille's Obituary
Beloved Lucille Booker, age 98, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at her home in Alpharetta, Georgia, surrounded by loving family. Lucille was born on November 1, 1924, to Dave and Elizabeth (Johnson) Vining in Independence, Louisiana. She was widowed from her beloved husband, Elmo Booker, Jr. who passed on June 22, 2012.
A celebration of life for Lucille will take place on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Fellowship Baptist Mission Church (171 N. Euclid Ave. Benton Harbor, MI 49022) with Rev. William Wittfield officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma, Michigan.
Lucille was a ray of sunshine, who loved spending quality time with her family and close friends. Some of her favorite hobbies were cooking, doing needlework, and completing jigsaw puzzles. Lucille also enjoyed fishing on the lakes, with her husband, during the early years of their lives together.
Lucille is survived by her loving children, Joyce (Cecil Scott) Booker of Benton Harbor, MI , Paula Burnside of Niles, MI , Debora Ellis of Benton Harbor, MI, Ronnie Booker of Kalamazoo, MI., host of other family members, consisting of 5 generations and other extended family.
