Lois M. Leach, 82, of Decatur, passed away, Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at her home in Decatur.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Newell Chapel, 83313 M-51 Decatur, with Rev. Mike Heflin officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:30 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Lois’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Lois was born October 14, 1940, in Steele, Missouri, to John and Vera (Labo) Harbert. On January 5, 1962, she married the love of her life, Roger Leach in Hartford. Lois worked for many years as a hairdresser, then went on to work at Midwest Fastener for 20 years before her retirement. She loved listening to music, especially Elvis Presley. Lois enjoyed playing board and card games with her family and liked to go to the casino. Most of all she loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Lois is survived by her children, John Leach of Decatur, Larry (Robin) Leach of Schoolcraft, Tina (Kevin) Rimes of Decatur, April (Kenneth) Lebeda of Cassopolis, twins Brenda & Angela Leach, both of Decatur; grandchildren Brandie (Dan) West, Heath (Cassandra) Leach, Amber (Ryan) Ziegler, Siahra Tangeman, Donald Fester, Danielle Phillips, Jadin Leach-Wolfe; great-grandchildren Brad, Morgan, twins Alex & Aaron, Christopher, Ava, Xander, Addison, Sadie, Lucas, Emery, Cameron, Sophia, Aryanna, and Ezra; siblings, Mildred Salmon, Bonnie Franklin, Connie (Gary) Smith and Jesse Harbert; numerous nieces and nephews; and honorary son, Tony Chacon. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Leach; and siblings, Kay Forshee, Kenneth Harbert, Patty Birlson;
