Lillian's Obituary
Lillian Irene Sheperd, 82 of Dowagiac, passed away, Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Born on June 29, 1939 in South Bend, Indiana to Marian “Hicks” Mayer and George Mayer Sr. United in marriage on July 29, 1983 in Dowagiac to Jerry Sheperd.
Visitation for Lillian will be on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Clark Chapel of Starks Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 405 Center St. Dowagiac, Michigan 49047.
Lillian graduated from Dowagiac Union High School in 1957. She worked at the French Paper Company in quality control for 20 years. Lillian was a very classy Lady. She modeled and designed clothes. Lillian was a hardworking, kind and loving woman. She loved her husband and grandkids dearly. She will be greatly missed.
Lillian is survived by husband of 38 years Jerry, daughter Tracy (John) Huddleston, grandchildren; Tag Murphy, Teria Hawkins, Derrick Grady, John Huddleston III, Preston (Jess) Huddleston, Marcus Huddleston, 7 Great-grandchildren, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Preceded in death by her parents Marian and George Mayer, daughter Tami Murphy, Melvin Archer, Richard Mayer and George Mayer Jr.
