Leroy T. Wesaw, 69, of Chicago, IL, passed away Monday, October 31, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Cremation has taken place and Leroy’s family will be Celebrating his life on Saturday, November 5, at 1:00PM at the Pokagon Band Community Center, 27043 Potawatomi Trail, Dowagiac. Leroy was born December 22, 1952, in Watervliet, to Leroy and Patricia (LeClaire) Wesaw. Leroy honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He the outdoors where he liked to go bike riding and fishing. He had a love for photography and music of all backgrounds. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife, Karin Wesaw; children, Molly Hunt-Wesaw, Naomi Wesaw, Nadine Wesaw and Antonio Velez; grandchildren, Vlora Xhaferi, Aidan Wesaw and Meskaswin; brother, Colin (Felicia) Wesaw; nephews, Elmer Natseway, Kyle Wesaw, Eric Wesaw and Jarod Pidgeon; and nieces, Naturm (Bevins) Wesaw, Wakeem Skenandore, Jamie DelaCruz and Cary Pidgeon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Patricia Wesaw and sister, Dorothy Wesaw.
