Leon's Obituary
Leon Benjamin Hollingsworth, 65, of Buchanan, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan, MI. Visitation will be held two hours prior from 4-6 pm also at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Galien Cemetery. Leon was born on March 25, 1958, to Noah and Goldie (Carter) Hollingsworth in Buchanan. He graduated from Galien High School in 1977. Professionally, Leon worked for many years in the RV Industry. The last 18 years of his career were served at the Pilot Travel Center in South Bend. Leon was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved fishing and deer hunting. He always held a great sense of humor and though he didn’t have kids, loved being around them and took pride in his nieces and nephews. Most of all, Leon was a family man and cherished time spent with them.
He is survived by his brother, Noah (Christal) Hollingworth; beloved niece and caretaker, Leona Hollingsworth, and many other cherished nieces, nephews and great-nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Goldie Hollingsworth; and siblings, Floyd, Ellen, Martha, Ruthey, Norien and Ammie.
