Lee's Obituary
Lee was born on December 28, 1944 in Hinchman, MI, to the late Lee and Elise (Reisig) Koebel. He was a 1963 graduate of Lakeshore High School, and thereafter served his country while in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. On June 12, 2004 he married Sharon Kay Hamm. Lee was a truck driver for JB Hunt Transport retiring in 2006. He enjoyed gardening and working on tractors and was a “farmer at heart”. Most of all he loved his family and he will be greatly missed.
Lee is survived by his wife Sharon; children – Sherrie (Dale) Herter of Eau Claire, Jonathan Koebel of Berrien Springs, Tammy Stattler of Stevensville, Glenda Northrop of Vandalia, IL and Bobby Stattler of Dowagiac; grandchildren – Vaughn, Ben, Nate, Brandon, Zack, Devin, Ryan, Kyle, Rebecca, Danielle, Tiffany and Ashley; great grandchildren – Olivia, Savannah, Aubrey, Nathan, Benji and Aaron; and a sister – Yvonne Klug. He is preceded in death by sons – Jim Koebel and Allen Stattler and a sister – Darlene Mattner.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 11:00am, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel in St. Joseph, with Pastor David Helmuth officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery with military honors. Visitation with the family is on Wednesday, July 20, from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
