Krysten's Obituary
Krysten Anne Quinlan, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 2, 2023. She was born on October 24, 1963, to Daniel P. Kolton and Judith (Norbom) Douglas in Detroit, Michigan. Due to having lived both on the east and west side of Michigan, we will be having two celebrations of life.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for a celebration of Krys’ life on the east side of Michigan which will take place on March 7th 2023 from 6:00-9:00PM at Southfield-Lathrup High School (19301 West Twelve Mile Road Southfield, Michigan).
Or you are equally welcome to join us for a celebration of life on the westside of Michigan which will take place on March 18th from 3:00-6:00PM at the Baroda American Legion (9214 1st St, Baroda, MI 49101).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Krys’s name can be made out to Paws of Hope (https://www.pawsofhope.org/).
Krys worked with Lakeshore High School for many years as a paraprofessional. She has always been an avid supporter of the arts and loved helping with Lakeshore’s musicals and assisting the marching band. Krys was well known for her passion to help anyone in need, and touched many with her compassion, kindness, and generosity. She was a beloved member of her community and will be greatly missed.
Krys is survived by her loving daughters, Anne Quinlan, Megan Quinlan; mother, Judith (Norbom) Douglas; brother Daniel Kolton and sister Nancy Kolton.
