Kristin's Obituary
Kristin Lynn Szczotka, 50, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away on January 5, 2022 at her residence. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.
Kristin was born on February 12, 1971 in Jackson, MI. Kristin was many things. She was a vibrant competitive figure skater that won Regional’s, including competition amongst a seven state area, at the age of ten. She attended Michigan State University and became a manager at Family Video. She also worked at Lakeland Hospital for many years – her last position was in the Covid-19 intensive care unit. Kristin loved her bulldog T-Bone, her happy dog. She was a speedster and loved go-fast boats, her Mini Cooper and anything with speed. Kristin had a huge heart and will be sorely missed.
Kristin is survived by her parents – Greg and Andrea Szczotka; sister and brother-in-law – Kimberly (Szczotka) and Jeff Reynolds; nephews – Daniel and Anthony (AJ) Reynolds; and Freddie the family bulldog. Kristin also had many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private family church ceremony will be held immediately and a Celebration of Life gathering will be scheduled at a later date for family and friends.
