Kenneth A. “Ken” Ziebart, 94, of St. Joseph, went to meet his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, Sunday, November 6, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 11, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville, with Rev. Martin Measel officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Church. Military Rites will be conducted by the North Berrien Military Rites Team. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations in Ken’s name may be made to Christ Lutheran Church Building Fund or The Lutheran Hour. Ken was born May 23, 1928 in St. Joseph to Oswald & Lydia (Frobel) Ziebart. He attended Trinity Lutheran School in St. Joseph until he went to work on the family farm. Ken served his country with the Army Corp of Engineers, stationed in Korea during the Korean War. After returning from the Army, he married his fiancé, Lorraine Much, on January 22, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Ken was employed at VM Corporation for twenty-seven years, at Gast Manufacturing for six years, and nine years at Bill Ehrenberg Service in St. Joseph. After retirement he worked as a bank courier and served as custodian at Christ Lutheran Church.

Ken was a member at Christ Lutheran Church where he served as an elder, as president of the building committee, and was a member of the Lutheran Layman League. He was a member of the Stevensville American Legion Post #568 and served as manager of the Eaton Park Little League. Ken loved to attend his granddaughter’s sporting events and never missed a game. He enjoyed watching his favorite Chicago teams-the Bears & the Cubs. In his free time, Ken enjoyed tending to his house and his yard and playing pinochle with his family.

Ken is survived by his wife Lorraine; two sons-Jeffrey (Karen) Ziebart & Brian Ziebart, both of St. Joseph; two granddaughters-Rebecca (Benjamin) Hanson & Michelle (Gabe Gembala) Ziebart; two great-grandchildren-Max & Mackenzie Hanson; his sister-Sharon (Donald) Jeschke of St. Joseph; numerous nieces & nephews; and special neighbors-Doris & Dave Rindfield & Jeff & Terry Knight. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings-Robert (Marian) Ziebart, Alvin (Marietta) Ziebart, Richard (Lorraine) Ziebart, Patricia Ziebart and Eleanor (Garry) Pasman.
