Keith W. Hammond, 70, of Coloma, formerly of Benton Harbor, passed away, Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be planned and announced at a later date. Keith made the ultimate gift by donating to the Michigan Gift of Life to help others in need. Keith was born August 30, 1953 in Benton Harbor to Eugene & Mary (Sanetti) Hammond. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1971. Keith helped his parents in the family business D. W. Hammond Chocolates in Benton Harbor and eventually took over ownership, and later moved the business to Coloma. Keith had a love of antiques and spent much time at the Watervliet Antique Mall. He cherished the time spent with his family and many friends.
Keith is survived by his partner Richard Aldrich of Coloma; his brother Steve (Kathy) Hammond of St. Joseph; three nephews-Bryan (Andrea) Hammond-children-Jade & McKenzie, Adam (Chelsea Briney) Hammond-children Ellianna Hammond & Harleigh Hall, Kyle Hammond; cousins-Sharon Kreitner, Marsha Hammond, Todd (Jodi Hammond, Chad Hammond, all of Coloma, Gloria Sanetti Streen, Joey Bruzzo, and other extended family. Keith was preceded in death by his parents Eugene & Mary Hammond.
