Kathryn's Obituary
Kathryn Louise Flowers, 87, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.
The family will receive guests from 2-4pm, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Newell Chapel, 83313 M51, Decatur. A funeral service will be held at 1pm, Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the funeral home, proceeding to Hamilton Cemetery for committal. Memorial contributions may be given to the Decatur Fire Department, 420 W. Delaware St., Decatur, MI 49045.
Kathryn was born June 5, 1935 in Paw Paw, MI to Ben and Kathryn (Goodrich) Cook. In her younger years, Kathryn enjoyed camping with her late husband, Burdell and their children. She also enjoyed crocheting, shopping and attending yard sales with Burdell. But her favorite thing was spending time with family, whether it was at cook outs, or Christmastime.
Kathryn is survived by her children, Charlene (the late Drew) Smith, and Mark (Drewetta) Flowers; her grandchildren, Tonya (Raymond) Garcia, Mandy (Steve) Smead, Shannon (Gary) Weishaupt, Andrew (Tiffany) Flowers, Jamie (Randy) Haun, Mark (Nychole) Flowers, II, and Heather (Michael) Shepherd; 13 great grandchildren; and her brother, Jack (Adelia) Cook.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Burdell Flowers; her son, Michael Flowers; four siblings; and her parents.
